I’m an accomplished craft designer and author of hundreds of articles and reviews on the topic of crocheting and other crafts. In my everyday work, I search out and present novel approaches to classic patterns and techniques to encourage you to try something new. I’m delighted that so many of you read my posts and that I can contribute to making our crochet society bigger and more popular. I’m interested in crafts and interior design and love traveling and sitting next to a campfire. I live with my husband and three kids in the Rockies.

The Alaskan waffle shawl is a beautiful, luxuriant shawl with a rich texture. While, of course, the color choice is totally up o you, the rust and gray pattern below is absolutely smashing. This garment, while not hard to make, is a stunning project and a beautiful accessory for your garments. Give it a whirl, this is a very worthwhile project. A link to a free pattern is at the end of the post.
