Emmy’s Baby Cardigan is a classically styled baby cardigan with star-inspired chevrons and a simple bear-shaped button closure. Gorgeous… and easy! It’s a great project for getting into crocheting beyond practice stitches.

2 1/2 Hour Nap Free Crochet Pattern

Here is a slightly more modern, somewhat hippy-trippy set. This is also a beautiful pattern, with lovely loose stitching that will keep baby warm, but not overheating. I like this one a lot.

For the Emmy cardigan pattern: I don’t recommend this pattern, it looks cute but the frustration of going through this pattern was awful. Multiple people have commented on the original pattern saying that the numbers aren’t correct and the author hasn’t fixed the pattern. The incorrect pattern is not easily fixed either, resulting in an asymmetric sweater
