Beaded, elevated surfaces are a wonderful idea for making baby blankets, because they provide airy yet warm blanket with a wonderful texture, that’s pleasant to the touch and satisfying for little hands to explore. We have a couple of such patterns for you to peruse and enjoy.
Candy Blanket Free Crochet Pattern
The Candy blanket is just that: a whole surface that looks like little gum balls. This is an easy and highly scalable pattern, so you can make a little bassinet cover or a huge blanket for a baby of any size (a baby of around 45 years, for example). The highly developed texture is great for making all sorts of varied combinations with colors, and the ribbed edging gives it that complete and finished look. This is a very worthwhile project.
