Hearts are the most beloved motif everywhere, and they are also widely used in crochet.  We can see them on blankets, scarves or as a decoration on just about any baby item. The heart stitch has a lot of possibilities. You can use a few colors for crochet like here:

You can also use several colors, but from a single palette, on a design that is particularly well suited for a girl’s blanket:

or just follow your imagination and use as many colors as you want like here:

Although the name of the stitch is multicolor, you can use it in a single shade as well. So, if you like a more classic appearance, choose only one color and be sure that heart stitched items will still look perfect:
