If you are looking for a lacy, airy square to make a traditional throw or afghan, you should definitely consider the midnight walk square. This is a very classic lace-like square with a “suspended” center section and a denser edge to hold its shape. The edge can be combined with other squares to make the larger surface project. While you can make these in any color you like, we think that the delicate purples chosen by the authors are absolutely beautiful. A link to the free pattern is at the end of the post.
