Flower Square

Flower-themed crochet brings a spot of color and spring into your home during those long winter evenings. They will also be a perfect detail to decorate your home with. The “What Were You Thinking” square is a perfect example, with excellent use of voids to define the borders of the central flower motif. The square itself is easy to make and will quickly work up into a larger project. Good luck! A link to the free pattern is at the end of the post.

In the same vein, but slightly smaller is the sunburst granny square. It would be a very interesting project to try and combine the two, or just on its own as a “tiled” blanket.
