Hearts, they say you care year round, not just on Valentine’s. Hearts are a great theme for crocheting projects, be they on toys, pillows, or as below, on blankets. In fact, it is just about the ideal cover for a kid’s bed, a throw in a nursery, or something for the bedroom. In general, the patterns are easy and don’t require much in the way of fancy yarns or the knowledge of a million stitches. Indeed, a few basic techniques and some yarn ends will get you well on the way to a blanket of hearts.
Colorful Heart Blanket
If a caleidoscope of colors is your thing, as indeed it is for many of us, then you can’t go far wrong with the colorful heart blanket. This is a square-based cover with a dense, drapy structure and crisp, well-defined borders between the squares. Consequently, you can multiply the colors to infinity, but the border stops them from clashing.
