Literature is a great inspiration for art, and The Secret Garden, a timeless classic, is a beautiful example of this. The Secret Garden blanket is a beautiful colorful project that is worked from the inside out, in a progression of seasons, starting with spring. This is a large project, that measures over 5′ across when finished. While the blanket itself is not done in very difficult techniques, the author cautions us that the squares need to keep their sizes and shapes, to maintain the integrity of the design. This is a great idea for a long evening project and a gorgeous finished blanket. A link to the free pattern is at the end of the post.
