Ammonites are some of the most beautiful fossils you can find in rocks. A polished stone with an ammonite makes a beautiful  decoration and conversation piece. This crochet pattern for a hook case combines the useful, with the beautiful, a bas-relief ammonite motif evocative of the most beautiful fossils found in stones. Done in a patchy grey yarn that looks like stone, this will be a great item for yourself, or a favorite gift for a special friend. A link the free pattern is at the end of the post.
